The Anaesthesia  department of David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital Uburu commenced an all - inclusive training on ICU  machines today.

The staff were primed on the uses and maintenance of clinical ventilator machines which include

Servo - i and Servo - Air which must be serviced by Biomedical engineers.

The functionality and differences of the ventilator machines was well elaborated by the facilitator Adeola Olafimihan,  the clinical application specialist: " Servo - Air ventilator uses charged batteries while Servo - i uses compressor to generate air needed."

The training which was held at the ICU chamber was well attended by the D-CMAC  Clinical,  who is also the head of department Dr. Savior Obilo, A Consultant Anaesthetist, medical officers, nurses and biomedical engineers.
