CBN INSPECTS FACILITIES AT DUFUTH

CORPORATE SERVICE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Medical Services, Central Bank of Nigeria, Tuesday paid an unscheduled inspection visit to DUFUTH.


The visit was for rating and certification of the hospital as a potential standby facility and referral centre for CBN staffs, dependents and retirees.


The team which comprised of CBN Enugu zonal clinic, CBN Abuja Diagnostic and Treatment Centre and CBN Abakaliki branch, was led by Dr Uzo Nwigwe.


Other members included Dr. Iyare Christian from Abuja as well as Ike Nnamdi and Ada Drapson from Abakaliki.


From Enugu branch of the CBN were Pharmacist Maduka Amaka, Mrs Dika C. E., Mr Victor Isioma, Victoria Udo and Taiwo B. O.


The group was received and conducted round various departments by the Chief Medical Director, Professor Uzoma Agwu, represented by the C-MAC, alongside other top Management staff.


Some of the departments inspected were Pharmacy, Radiology, Medical Records, Medical Laboratory Services, ICU, Accident and Emergency, Nursing Services, Mother and Child Centre among others.


Infrastructure, equipment, availability of tertiary specialized services and service providers, sanitary condition, expertise and manpower, were among the key considerations evaluated by the team.


The hospital after the inspection tour and rating drills was awarded 76.24% by the team.
